Martha Curry is a custom appliqué design centered on fanciful blooms, swirling leaves, and popping sunbursts. The design extends a sense of simple elegance as each of the design aspects is able to meld with and complement the others. The design, coloration, and even the simple elegance of this design draw inspiration from my paternal grandmother, hence the name Martha Curry. The consummate gardener, Martha Curry was also very fond of reds and greens in her decorating schemes. I can remember her kitchen and the red and green print of the wallpaper. This quilt design lends itself to and endless variety of colorations, not just the one pictured on the cover. Feel free to choose colors that connect with your home’s decorations.
