No other forest animal conjures up such a wide range of emotions as does the bear. Obviously supremely powerful, the bear is also a gentle creature of unmatched beauty and grace. With the Cranberry Hollow designs, I’ve tried to capture a portion of the majestic beauty of the bear’s world. In the larger project, our bear keeps her distance behind a patch of cranberry bushes as she keeps a watchful eye on the visitors in her world. Our bear blends into her surroundings as she crosses a brook, in “Second Look”. In “At the Edge”, I’ve tried to capture a view of a summer lake as our bear may see it from the forest. Each of these projects offers a glimpse of the bear’s world. Although I find the bear very intriguing this may be the closest I want to come seeing a bear up close!
